Leonid Yanovitz

Director of HW and Physics

Leonid brings 10 years of experience in leading multidisciplinary R&D projects in the medical device field to CAPS Medical. He has specialized in custom electro-optical devices and electrode-tissue interfaces. Before joining CAPS Medical, Leonid was R&D leader at Nano Retina, where he took a central role in development of an implantable artificial retina, overcoming numerous challenges in the fields of nano-technology and neuron interfaces. In addition to leading R&D activities, he was responsible for supporting clinical and regulatory processes, and for preparations ahead of mass production. Leonid holds a B.Sc. in physics and an M.Sc. in electrical engineering from Tel-Aviv University.
